The course is six two-hour sessions on consecutive Mondays beginning 7th June, from 7.30pm-9.30pm and has the following outline:
Wk 1: Introductions. Facing the pain of loss. Basics of grief, normal grief responses.
Wk 2. Remembering the person who died; establishing a different kind of relationship with them.
Wk 3. Trigger moments; emotions and resilience.
Wk 4. Searching for meaning, developing a new identity, practical considerations.
Wk 5. Self-care; coping strategies; well-being.
Wk 6. Good-byes, sharing plans; memories and rituals, connections going forward.
We will be in a café setting, around tables. Learning will be through the material I deliver and small group conversation.
The course is free, though we'll have a contributions box for the room hire costs.
